Ted Brown
Thomas Edward "Ted" Brown is a former NFL running back who played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1979 to 1986 after being selected in the first round, 16th overall, in the 1979 NFL Draft.
At NC State, Brown was a consensus All-American in 1978, earned First-Team All-ACC honors in all four college seasons, and set the ACC career rushing record with 4,602 yards.
His NFL production included 4,546 rushing yards, 40 rushing touchdowns, and 2,850 receiving yards. Brown was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
